Stevensville Mayor: Limited Travel Advised

Stevensville Mayor Brandon Dewey is advising residents to limit their travel while street conditions rapidly deteriorate. Snow fall has outpaced ongoing snow removal efforts and streets have accumulated levels that make driving conditions dangerous.

Mayor Dewey says that Public Works crews have been out since 5am Monday addressing the overnight snowfall  combined with today’s accumulations since the full city plow was achieved on Sunday night. Dewey says that all available resources have been deployed, maximizing utilization of Public Works resources.

“We’ve reached the limits of our available staff for sustained operations,” says Mayor Dewey. “Plows will be pulled off the streets tonight and will resume operations at 5am Tuesday morning.”

The Town will only call in essential staff on Tuesday due to hazardous travel conditions.
