Public Works

Purpose

The Public Works Department strives to ensure a high quality of life for Stevensville's citizens, visitors, and businesses by providing services essential for safe, healthy living and working environments as well as safe travel on local roadways. To accomplish this, the Department maintains and improves our infrastructure systems, which provide water, sewer, and transportation services.

Public Works Divisions

Water Division—provides clean, safe water throughout the town and maintains the water system infrastructure. 

Streets & Transportation Division—provides snow removal, pothole and other roadway repairs, and leaf collection services. Fabricates, repairs, and replaces various street signs and provides striping and other pavement marking services on Stevensville streets. 

Wastewater Division—provides safe and environmentally conscientious management and disposal of sewage. 

 **The Public Works Department is currently changing meters through out the town. Public works staff will be stopping at identified residents needing meter replacements. The staff will meet with the homeowner and verify a good time for meter replacement. Public Works staff will identify themselves with a form of Town of Stevensville Identification and their town vehicle is identifiable with a Town of Stevensville sign.
