The Town of Stevensville has received notice of the award of funds from the Montana Department of Commerce, Montana Main Street Program to update the 2016 Growth Policy. Total award and available fee for service is $15,000. The estimated end date of the project is June 30, 2022.

The Town of Stevensville is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals and consulting firms to:  Develop an updated Growth Policy in conformance with all the requirements of Montana State Law (76-1-601, MCA). 

The Scope of Services required includes, but is not limited to, the following components:

  1. Data Gathering and Analysis
  2. Generating Public Participation
  3. Facilitating Preliminary Stakeholder Input
  4. Facilitating Public Input Sessions
  5. Planning Board Public Hearing on Growth Policy
  6. Draft Document and Mapping
  7. Completed Draft Growth Policy
  8. Public Distribution of Draft
  9. Stakeholder/Public Response and Revisions to Draft
  10. Final Revisions and Production

And further components:

1.  Inventory of Existing Conditions and Projected Trends

2.  Community Goals and Objectives

3.  Implementation Steps

 

Consistent with Section 3 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1968, CDBG regulations governing the grant require that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG-assisted project will be extended to local lower-income residents. Further, to the greatest extent feasible, business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area will be utilized.
